Course Structure
Before attending, you will complete the online BLS Instructor Essentials course, which is included in your registration.
On the day of the in-person class, we will cover the instructor training from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
As part of your initial monitoring, you must teach a session in the afternoon. If possible, please bring someone to act as your student—they will receive a free AHA BLS Provider card for participating!
Certification Requirement
You must hold a current AHA BLS Provider certification to take this course, which must be issued by the AHA. Other certifications, such as Red Cross or HSI are not accepted.
You can add this certification to your registration if you do not have a valid AHA BLS Provider card. This will include an online portion that must be completed before class.
